Shorts help

Ladies, I am having such a bother finding some nice knee length shorts without paying heaps. I waited for sales, but alas too late. Do any of you have any ideas?

My sister bought a nice pair of cotton trousers from Asda and then cut them to the length she wanted.

For around the house and garden I get old jeans and chop.

Have you looked at M&Co. I got a nice pair in the sales. Have a look online.

Thanks for that HB. I did consider chopping pair of trousers down to size. I'd ordered a pair of shorts from a climbing shop. Well you should have seen them! Talk about baggy! Hubby could have put them on and there would still have been legroom to spare. They wouldn't have fitted him round his middle though.  ;D So they are going back tomorrow. Linen ones are all just as baggy. Think I may have to give up and buy early next year. Sods law it'll be back to usual summer weather in 2014!

Have bought a pair of lightweight trousers from stressco and will cut to required length. At least that way I can get the length I want.  ;)

I bought some Capri trousers yesterday from Sai***urys, they are quite nice.
Couldn't find any proper shorts though, all to short/tight or long/baggy.
