Peas be good for us. Apparently they are a Superfood
. That's mushy peas to you and me, something I grew up with either tinned or from the fields. I loves peas I does. Any green beans too: runners, French, dwarf .......
It's roast chicken, spuds, freshly dug parsnips roasted ......... can you smell it?

Ah that must be a survival issue. FinL always drank the water/mix from tinned peas/beans. As a Prisoner of War they had no vitamins so he never wasted anything. Nice mixed into hot mashed spuds?

Grass Jaypo! 🤨 😆 I'm trying to survive Jaypo, more than anything else! 🤣😂
Aww yes, now your talking, peas and mashed potatoes. 😋
Think it must be a brummie thing. 🤷♀️
Me and my friend from school, on holiday once, used to get cartons of peas from the chippy and eat them in her dads car with a wooden toothpick. 🤣😂

from the 1960s but youse not old enough to remember that
Probably hot veg with cold roasted chicken. Oh those wooden toothpicks

Back to usual grub. Finished the Canada goose yesterday with veg., any veg. will be put into soup ........ either to freeze as stock or to eat with newly backed bread.
DH is smoking a trout tomorrow.
