i made a huge lasagne tonight. Bit of a fiddle but well worth it.  I also made a salad of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, cucumber and pomegranate seeds.

Penny farthing,
I put pineapple chunks in my lasagna, it's delicious,
Also I use cheese sauce, instead of that bechamel sauce.

Sounds awful, but it's delicious.

I like the sound of that. thanks.  I always make a cheese sauce too.  i saw a recipe the other day for a lasagne using sausagemeat. It looked lovely.

lunch in garden today. Poached some chicken breasts last night with bay  leaves and peppercorns. Left in fridge overnight. this morning I have made coronation chicken using mayonnaise, greek yoghourt, fresh chopped mint, curry powder and a few raisins and pomegranate seeds. I have toasted some flaked almonds and will add those before serving with extra pomegranate seeds.

I have done a big bowl of salad and will be having warm naan bread with it.

Last night I made belly pork strips in a spicy marinade and then thought there didnt look much so I added some chipolatas.  A neighbour brought me broad beans from his allotment so I did broad beans with cherry tomatoes, toasted pinenuts  and grilled haloumi in little vinegar, oil and tarragon.  We also had new potatoes. Then we had local strawberries and cream.
