I dont reply much but I do read I know abso sod all about HRT pills
It would be highly unethical and plain bloody stupid for me to reply on something I know nothing about

There's no need to apologise Suzi - I mean - that's all any of us ever do - is reply on things that either interest us or we know something about, or can maybe find out a little about quite easily! There are lots of threads on here I wouldn't dream of commenting on. I can't say I read them all either as I don't have time, but read most of the health and meno ones - can't manage all the This and That threads though....

I will comment if comeons not sure about HRT or is having a rough time after 2/3 trys
But in the end its our body and we have to decide for ourselves in the end yes?

Suzi....I rarely comment on things like anti depressants. I have never taken them so have no experience.
Sometimes all you can do is offer a bit of support and hope someone who knows what they are talking about can help.

We reply to what we feel we can to.
As I'm on ADs I can try and support people there.
I like to try and be there for people in most things even if I haven't got a lot to say ( that's not very often my family would say)
I say most things- definitely NOT politics!

Hello girls
Today its sunny and Bobbles who been away a week is coming home yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Its odd even though no periods for well over 15 years I still get a load of the symptoms
I think they never go not all of them never knew how much a womens body was controlled by hormones got to be 90%

Yes sadly that is the case - we are post-menopausal for ever. Once our oestrogen levels drop to the lowest they will go - that's it. and then oestrogen is no longer doing its job in the umpteen different parts of our bodies where it is needed... so some symptoms or effects of oestrogen deficiency will last for ever. Drag isn't it?

Are the symptoms bad enough for you to consider HRT although it may not be advised to start it 15 years after meno? However if you have never taken it - a v low dose would help protect your bones since you had such an early meno.

Oh! Sorry I said the wrong thing    - but I was answering Suzi's post saying how odd to still be getting symptoms after 15 years. I don't think there is any other way of putting it really.

Anyone who is unable to take HRT will need to address any symptoms they are getting in other ways, and I know this must be tough and I really sympathise. However this is also the position for very many women who take HRT for a short time eg 5 years and then come off it, or choose not to take it .... and then there are the rest of us being told to come off it and may well have to do so eventually - so we will also suffer from oestrogen deficiency eventually too...

You said it as it is Hurdity. I think that lots of us wait and wait for the menopause to finish and for us to be miraculously returned to our "normal" state. My GP told me years ago not to waste time waiting to go back to how I was - she is menopausal herself - as that was just a waste of energy and time. Of course once we are post-meno the horrible fluctuations in mood should stabilise but the symptoms such as vaginal dryness, dry skin, aches and pains don't seem to improve without some type of oestrogen.

I couldnt take HRT not then and now nearly 60 no period since 42 so at 44 all over red rover
I was Ok though till 2008 cant complaon though Bobbles would and yessss hes home
Armed with a snuggly Merino Lambswool sweater and a top that didnt fit so off we toddled to DFO (OUTLET VILLAGE)
Took the one back and got 2 more indtead ahhhhhhhhhhh I do wuveroonie Bobbles hehehehe OK back to problemo
I get the scaredy cats heart thumping going over terrors Ive had 2 attacks now since last May that one lasted 29days
This one started on 3rd May went off for a week after a few days then back again its not as bad as it was but tiring
I sometimes get odd few hours of perios pains weird or what My hair cos of vagifems thinner and falls out a bit
My skin on bosy over the last years gone dryer and noticied creepy marks on arms and under boobs tummy area
Its so slight even so dont fancy a cossie anymore and I live in the tropics! Still very few on my face thank god
Boobs well old ladies now all the volumes gone and it P... me off Sorry Taz inner labias almost nil Clit hood almost gone
I got upset the other night Id pout Vagi in and felt almost nothng on my left side down there
Bobbles said women pay fortunes have them removed no talking to me I said how would you like it if your LOU LOU started to vanish I thinkn it clicked then when I sobbed IM old how can you fancy me want to make L... to me
Im no fanny its shrivelled I was inconsolable till he striped off and started doing a jig he tied a tie around his lou Lou
He did a ladies fan dance with his lou lou as a windmill i started to laugh to see this 58 yr old man loveong me!!!
Then reality checked in at 4.30am Sat morning phone went I freaked instantly DAD somethings worng(thats why DFO)
Something was wrong our much loved pal just been to his biffy do 3 weeks ago 49 dropped dead of a heart attack
Brought everyhing in to perspective OK my fanny bits have shrivelled and ive a few lines on my body and face
BUT both of us are still here and with luck and prayer may one day soon be a Niane (nana in welsh)
Its affected so many of us Uklysease people today we didnt ride Geoffrey did the garden and painting I mooched
At 1pm out of the blue 2 couples came round its never happened before in this house people JUST dropping in
Made my day week month and year sitting in the garden in the sun having tea and bccies foir a couple of hours
Days and times like these are so pres hey?
Meanwhile drenched the mush in greecy NIvea made a roast lamb at 5pm and watched a Midsummer not bad xxxx
