Its on the "Alternative Therapies" page and shows up on the column on the right hand side at the bottom.  Its just that I had an email to say its been despatched and just wondered if anyone else had tried it - seems like I'm the only one!

I will have a look! I am on HRT so I don't visit the alternative therapies page very often.

I've had a look - let us know how you get on. I can't use Soya unfortunately as it makes me feel really ill but some women do have success with it.

Hello Taz - Does it say it has Soya in it? Cant seem to find a list of ingredients or whatever you call it - but Yes will keep everyone updated. I am only trying it as I'm a bit of a chicken and dont want to go on HRT unless I have no choice - purely - because my worst symptom is anxiety and all that crap and I've read after a period of time you have to stop it and the symptoms all come flooding back............bugger........

Hi I haven't tried that, but it looks a good idea.  Can't find the ingredients.  I take healthspan soya 100mg.  It takes a while to kick in - but it worked ok for me and not had 'soaking the bed type of hot flushes'   Soya contains 'plant oestrogens'.  I also don't drink alcohol very often and sugary things make hot flushes worse, so avoid that and had to cut down caffeine intake. I  excercise and try to keep myself calm if I feel panicky. My worse problem was waking every hour at night.  It did settle after periods stopped, but any kind of stress or slight change in weather warmth and its off again. however always been insomniac. :)
Good luck - its worth a try.

If your worst symptom is anxiety then an anti-depressant medication or Betablocka might help?  :-\

In answer to your question : then 'no'  ::)

If you click on the link and then go to "about" at the top of the menno page it will give you the details.

Soya is in so many things though grumpyandIknowit - bread and cakes, gravy mix, soups, cereals, meat products so you have probably had it in the past.

I only know because it took ages to work out what it was that was making me ill - a slow, slow process of elimination. This was around twenty years ago before soya was a recognised allergen. Nowadays it is usually shown under "allergy advice" on products but in those days my GP thought I was being really daft to consider it as soya is normally good for you.

It is the isoflavones  of genistein, daidzein which are the important phytoestrogens to help with symptoms.   There are 40% in Healthspan Soy. I'm not advertising but just saying what has been good for me. In fact after 1 month of taking it, I felt somewhat better. If you are ok with soya, maybe give it go - have a google, there are plenty of reviews.  ;)
