CLKD, i don't find that a strange question its something I have given some thought to recently..
I have BRCA 2 mutation, recently had ovaries removed and on tibolone hrt. Was advised I can be on it around 5 years which takes me to age 50.
Ive started process for risk reducing double masectomy which after surgerywill then put my risk to around 4% which is considerably less than a lot of women.
From a personal perspective  i would consider continuing to take hrt till mid to late 50's if I wasnt having a quality of life due to menopausal symtoms. Potentially is a choice of quality over quantity, which is why I never delay doing anything I want to do now rather than wait until retirement.
