@coldethel - wow!! yes!  That was their first time in the UK supporting British Sea Power. I believe BSP later supported TK in the US, too.

Yeah they did. The killers took off big time and BSP just stayed the same. Lol. Few of my fellow BSPers followed them for a bit and always say that Brandon etc were great and so friendly and grateful for the following they got via that tour.

David Cassidy

Gosh, I think if I'd ever seen David Cassidy "live", I'd have been one of those girls who pass out at concerts!!   In my early teens, I thought he was gorgeous  ;)  (and he was, then!)

But I'm afraid I've never, ever been to a pop concert, only classical (lots of those!).........  :)  Aren't I boring?!

Absolutely not boring!  ;D

Aww, that is so lovely to hear, thank you. They are still grateful that they got their start over in the UK even after all this time and always mention it when they come, and try and give us something a bit special. Lovely to meet someone else whose a bit obsessive over bands and going to gigs!

I'm only mildly obsessed compared to some of my mates! I've never been to China to see BSP for example. Though I have made mr ethyl have a long weekend in Vienna because we needed a break - one that involved an I like trains gig in the middle.

This sounds perfectly reasonanble to me!  It's like -- multi-tasking or something. ;D  The worst/best thing I did was fly out to Vegas for 48 hours with about a weeks notice to see Brandon Flowers play a solo gig to 300 people in a bar.

I like the cut of your jib. I was so upset recently when favourite band announced gig in Leipzig after a two year hiatus and I couldn't go.

30 years a 'Stranglers' fan, been to many of theirs.  Highlights of others are Brian Adams, Marc Almond, Erasure and Gary Numan.

Booked for Gary Numan in September, cant wait :)

My first concert on my own was Tubeway Army/Gary Numan in 1979 I think - my grandad's delivery driver worked as a bouncer at City Hall in Newcastle and got me in on front row. I was 13 and amazed. Saw him on his 50th birthday in Manchester few years back when he toured Replicas. Great gig.
