Yes!  In out and in out and the elastic went up the legs each time 1 managed to do it right.  Needed at least 5 people though although I did it on chair legs at home.

Hobby horses? now popular at antique fairs etc.

Lucky tatties,Scottish thing and probably would be banned in this day and age,not sure what they were made of but they were hard and covered in cinnamon and you would get a little plastic toy in the middle.
Also bubbly chewing gum and gobsmackers,huge they were,would last literally all morning 😛
