LM didn't find it sad so much as interesting.  Starting to pep up now I think.

X Factor tonight?  Ella slowing down You're the one that I want?  It took me most of the way through the song before I could think what it was - not sure about it  :-\  Still think she has the best voice on the show though.

Jamaine also slowed down bits of, 'Don't leave me this way', kind of worked okay, due to him keeping other bits as it should be.  He could be runner up to Ella I think.

I think Ella & James will be the final 2.

I like Ella and James.
Two very different styles but both very talented and they appear to be likeable young people.

I know this is wrong thread for X Factor, but couldn't find it last night - such a shock tonight :o :( Show is a joke, keeping Rylan in.  The song choices were not great this week, but shame for two good ones to be in bottom two because of that.  Saying that, I wasn't keen on their sing off songs either.

Anyone see The Town last night?
It had a 4 star rating in the reviews. My meno brain found it a bit bleak and disjointed but will tune in again next week to see if things come together as the story progresses.

Did anyone watch The Fear this week?  Very good, though rather violent.  Peter Mullan was superb.

I missed "The Town", tempted to watch it on ITV player on laptop as it looks good and has great reviews.

Just sat down after doing some  painting and caught the end of  a programme on the Yesterday channel about the Hermitage museum in St Petersburg.  Sounds dry and dull but wish i'd seen it all.  Partner loves Yesterday which is why it was the channel that came on when I switched tv on.

Did anybody watch Simon Reeve in Cuba last night?  Hubby & I watched with great interest, having been there 3 times in the past 10 years.  It's great to see that certain Cubans are being allowed to start up their own businesses.  However, the state wages for doctors are still the same as 10 years ago £15 per month.  No wonder the doctor they showed had started up his own business to supplement his wages.
Did enjoy the memories though, the derelict sugar factory, the train journey - been there, done that.  :)

Last Tango in Halifax was good last night.

I am going to watch Fat Hospital (or some such name) tonight.  I think it's on at 8 pm.
I was reading about it and the doctor said there is no medical reason why people on that ward are fat it's purely because they eat more than calories they burn off.

My hubby was working for a young woman of about 30 today.  He said she was so fat she has to throw herself from side to side to get moving. She was telling him about her father who has type 2 diabetes and is terribly overweight. She then said she can't lose weight and hubby told her we both have (since he was diagnosed with T2 Diabetes) and suggested Slimming World.  She said "I can't, I just love my food too much."   You can't help some people can you?
