Just think of it like this honeyb. They have spent all that time underground grubbing about and now they have their wings they just want a bit of freedom (and mating of course) before they die off. They don't mean to invade your space - they just haven't quite got the hang of being above ground yet.

Oh I had one of those last night, he took a few steps and then dropped about 3 inches. He did this half a dozen times.
I was reading in bed, with one eye on him , telling myself it was ok as he wasn't near the bed. So, what did he do? Yep, he made his way to directly over the bed and continued his little show!! :o

He didn't live to long after that! and I suffered a massive hot flush :sweatdrop:

I really do not like spiders. It stems from when we moved into our first house and lived out of the packing boxes for some time while waiting for cupboards and storage. When we eventually emptied them, masses, yes masses :o of spiders came running out all over the place. They must have nested in there. I had a massive panic attack, frozen to the spot. It was absolutely horrendous.

Ever since, spiders and me are a no no!

I might get one of those catchy things, but would be worried it would run out and up my arm! Oh heck!

I hate them - when I was a child I seem to be able to hear them!  My parents had polystyrene tiles on some ceilings and I could here the big ones scampering across them.  Terrified of them 😢🔨🔨

I hate them too and they are getting bigger....I'm sure of it ...either that or I'm getting scareder.

;D ……….. our cat used to put her paw over one, then lift carefully and peer underneath to see if it was still there ; my terrier would chase spiders across the room, then sit whimpering if they ran up the wall  ;D

I LOVE spiders, they're especially good on toast. Uuurgh, kidding of course, I've made myself want to throw up!

My worst one was last summer when I felt something tickling my face in bed, snapped the light on and there's a behemoth Shelob fresh out of it's cave, sitting on my pillow - huge, thick and hairy (oi that's rude!), it saw me and scuttled down the back of the bed, I had to move the whole bed to catch it before I could sleep, even then I had trouble.

Also last summer, I got out of the bath, grabbed the towel and started drying off, only to find I had rubbed a huge spider all over me where it had settled in the folds of my towel. Strewth!

I don't mind mice that much....but I have been known to scream and bring neighbours running.

Always seems to happen to me.

We had a very big dog years ago and I bought her dry food in bulk. I kept it in the garage in a swing bin. I went out to get food from the bin. Got the scoop, leaned in up to my armpit and a mouse ran up my arm. I ended up half way down the drive screaming my head off  ;D.

Second occasion with mice. We kept rabbits and guinea pigs in a big run in the garden. Hubby built them a great home. I went in to clean out the hutches with my son holding the bag for all the dirty stuff. Opened the sleeping hatch to clean it out and out comes two mice....my son was in knots as I hurdled the fence that enclosed the run. He reckoned he had never seen his mother move so fast or jump so high.

Between that and wandering hamsters in the night I have done my time with furry things  ;D

I have decided it could only happen to me  ;D

I really quite like spiders, in fact I may get a tarantula as a pet one day.

It appears I'm a bit scared of mice though, as I discovered when one ran past me one day so I put traps down. All was fine until we caught it and I just couldn't bring myself to approach it, never mind pick it up. That said we rented a holiday cottage a few years ago and the laundry stuff was in the basement and there was at least one mouse which used to come and watch me so I used to joke about heading down to see Mickey.

Well.....me and birds  ;D

By this point ...I'm the mad woman of the forum.  ;D

I reckon I was traumatised as a child by being taken through a free flying aviary. They all tried to land on my head.
So birds for me are best viewed at a distance.....except I live by the seaside and we having dive bombing free flying rats...,ie seagulls.

Oh they like me....they crap on me from a great height, they pinch my ice cream, they come far too close and I don't like them at all.

My hubby laughs because if we have an ice cream cone in the summer, I cower in a doorway licking mine because I just know they are....waiting ....and watching  ::)

As for having chips  ;D
