BBQ! Burgers and chicken skewers with mini sausages, peppers & pineapple served with salad and rice. I will resist the burgers but DH and DS will have those! it's a gorgeous day here so may as well make the best of the garden.

I had mince to make, but did not want plain mince or bolognese or chilli con carne - so made it with onion, mushrooms, a tin of tomatoes, beef stock cube and we had it with pasta. Was yummy, supped the gravy up with a spoon.

Son and I had quiche, spicy wedges, salad, carrots and green beans with some roasted courgette and red pepper
Hubby had liver, mash and cabbage. Had to run up the allotment and dig up some "mash" as I had started cooking tea then discovered no potatoes left in veg basket
I picked the green beans and courgette while i was up there too.

I'm off to SW tonight but have left an old family fave in the oven and I'll have mine when I get back. It's Tender Beef Casserole and is gorgeous - beef, celery, potatoes, carrots, onions, mustard, parsley, S & P, 2 tablespoons of vinegar to tenderise. Yum!

Had to smile at you digging up "mash" , ariadne! I always say we have home-grown mash! From our allotment!
We are having sausages, baked beans and chips, all in the oven, as off on holiday tomorrow and no time to prepare veggies tonight!

Ice cream dessert again!
This sunshine makes me want ice cream!
