R WE READY FOR STORM BERT?

All doom and gloom.  In my Day we called it weather  ::).  I remember the 1st Big Storm in recent years of 1975, then the next in the 1980s when 7 Oaks became 2  :-\ ........... snow slow to melt here  :o.  although the sky has been blue and sun  ⛅️ 🌞  ☁️ , calm and chilly.  Seasonal?

Hi, stuck at home. No snow, but heavy rain and gusty winds. Wanted to go for a walk, but feel lazy and don't feel like putting on layers and my coat on.
Hope all are keeping warm. Weather warnings in nearly every cities and towns!

A fair bit of snow here.  I did put the layers on and my wellies and went out for a very fresh walk.  It was good fun feeling the snow crunching under my wellies and also walking through slushy bits - I felt like I was 5 again.  Just glad it was Saturday and I didn't have to drive today and go to work in it.

Proper snow then 50+. 

Blustery.  Dull.  Intermittent heavy drizzle bashing onto the windows  :-\

Reminds me of the weather 12 months ago, which didn't stop for weeks++  >:(

Snow all gone today as if by magic - how did that happen? I have never seen so much snow disappear so quick - lots of rain helped me thinks and I have checked the forecast for tomorrow which is a very warm six degrees and rain so no defrosting or scraping the car tomorrow morning - a good start to the working week ...

The temp was supposed to rise over night so add rain and wind to that, snow will disappear.  However the snow that landed here early in Tuesday morning went from the roads but hang around on the shed roof even in bright sunshine, until the rain arrived.

It's drizzled.  Hard. All day  >:(.  It was dark .......

Hopefully no1 is suffering from flooding  :-\  :'(.  Once the ground has dried a bit we will have to lift a few patio slabs to allow water to drain better.  At least today has been bright and sunny, up to 10 in the car  :o

Parts of Wiltshire badly affected.  Major incident in Northamptonshire - why people still buy on Billing Aquadrome I can't understand.  It was OK there until shopping centres were built both above and below the Nene - water will find its own level  :-\ - and Pontypridd was flooded for 3 days.  As well as a slag tip slipping through properties ......... rain will work through the underneath so that it implodes = slips, like in Aberfan.  :-\ :'(

CH 5 has a 'green power' % announcement on the 5 x 5 News!  Doesn't say where that green power is distributed to.

I think it's pouring.  And I've 3 pairs of jeans on the line  :bang: :beat: ...... apparently the wind is due to arrive across the UK in the next 24 hours.
