I've been reading about the heat wave over there :'(.  I can't imagine not having AC.  It's going to get hot and muggy here too in the next few days, but I don't think as near as bad as over there.
Today it's raining off and all day and about 23 degrees.

Humidity is difficult to live with.  We have the windows and curtains shut tight and blower on in the lounge which is 81F.  I stepped out to the utility room to check laundry and it's like walking by an open kiln!

The forecast totally underestimated the temperatures today, at 3pm in my daughters garden it showed 49° on the outside thermometer. It was 41° in my car at 11.30am, i was going to get a new brake light and change my mind when it was like opening an oven door. Its strange how the hottest time of the day used to be around midday to 2pm now it starts to get hottest around 3pm to 7pm.

Was the temp in your daughter's garden in the shade? Our garden was 36 in the shade (Hampshire) at 3.00.

Beautiful in the garden now sitting waiting for the international space station to go over. A really dry heat today too not our usual heavy, humid heat.

I walked dogs at 4.30am and it was 18 degrees, by 5.45 am it was 22! I went to work at 6am and the office temp was 27. I closed work until Wednesday as it would have been horrendous later on and a worry for colleagues travelling.
My car registered 41 degrees to around 10.30am.

Did U see it Taz., we did.  As well as our hedgehogs who brought along 2 of this year's litter  :-*. I could have sat out all night it was so still but the seat was hard  :D. Warm again!

For a while  ::).  Think of those on mainland Europe ...........  :'( months of it.  Plus being stuck in a train with field fires all around  :o

If U want a picture to take your mind off the heat, have a lookC at the Scotland BBC article regarding breast feeding.  Even I can giggle with the baby  8)
