:ola:  The power came on at 7 am, whilst I was on the loo contemplating how to get through another cold day!

That's such a relief!

The wind is gusting again, supposedly another storm on it's way  >:(. I've had problems getting warm even with the power on  :'(

Another blustery day today with cold temps. Wind gusts 80-90km/h expected.  No risk of blowing snow like yesterday, all of it has frozen again.

The main streets are fine, they've been plowed and salted.  The sides streets like ours are still snow covered but sanded for traction. I haven't navigated the sidewalks yet but I imagine they will have been plowed and sanded. They don't plow right down to the cement, they leave a thin layer of compacted snow which can be slippy.

The rain is trying to get inside the house  :o as well as the wind making the fire draw really fast .  Fortunately we bought lots of logs inside during yesterday's lull.

We had mild temps and all-day rain yesterday but today it's below freezing with a stiff wind and on and off snow squalls coming off the lake.  Tomorrow night another snowstorm is rolling in and we'll get dumped on...again.
This is getting ridiculous.  We haven't had multiple storms like this for ages.

You got snow storms and we got three gales in a week  ??? still a bit blustery but nothing compared to last week.  Lots of flooding now after the storms it must be awful, I feel sorry for the homeowners  :-\

There was flooding in some low-lying areas due to the rain and the melt-off, but all of that water has turned to ice.

C.C. how large is the lake!

Blue sky and sunshine from mid-afternoon - light drizzle occasionally.

I think that in England people's properties are getting flooded due to new builds and factories 'up river'  >:(.  So it forces water until it finds it's level, including rushing through houses.  I was reading that 1 couple have redesigned theirs in an upside down fashion so that all white goods and living is upstairs.

The lake (one of the Great Lakes) is 8.25 times larger than England...according to the Google lol
