CLKD we were OK, but there are posh houses & flats down by the river which some builder thought would be good place to build. Even Duncan Bannatyne's Gym has been hit. Car park is flooded & staff are working hard to stop it getting into their swimming pool. Add to that the local sewage works has also got flooded, which is just a few hundred yards from the gym. Even the though makes my stomach turn!

I've bought in bottled water just in case the water system suffers.

Add candles and hot water bottles ………….

Duller now.  Had a nice walk along by the river and into town, sun was out, air brisk.  Home now, feet up, watching grey clouds  ::)

Poured all night - patio stands in water which is gradually draining away.  Found out there's a hole in my shoe when feeding the birds - feeders on the patio  >:(  ::)
Bright sunshine after showers - now dull, dull, dull - but not as cold!

Not yet CLKD, but more rain over next few days. Poor folk who were affected, not catching a break at all!

Currently listening to torrential rain pouring down. Locals really don't need this. Just been reading about local park  rangers who have taken photos of some of the flooded areas along the river.  Much restoration of footpaths etc will be required as everything washed away. Haybales have also been  found floating & blocking parts along the way.

In Birmingham it is 3*C, park is waterlogged, hasn't rained today, dull with a bit of blue sky, but I'm not grumbling, we have got off lightly.
Son is in the army and has gone off to Germany today on exercise, they are heading for Bavaria where he tells me it is -11!

Balmy then FionaB?  ;D

We woke to snow yesterday morning, once a year is fine by me.  We went for a walk mid-morning by which time the top roads were clear but pavements still crunchy.  By mid-afternoon thaw had set in and this morning very little left, mainly snow-people beginning to lean a bit  ;D

Colder this evening.

Surprisingly, looking at the heavy drizzle, it's warmer - about 14 in our car this morning  ::)

Any snow left anyone?  Blustery here, apparently the 'edge' of the storms that hit the East of the US ….. without the snow.  Oh for some sunshine  :-\

I prefer frosty, white weather rather than snow or rain at this time of year!

My Gt Uncle rang from Paisley this morning, since 7.00 a.m. it had snowed; rained; blown a gale with hail in it; some sunshine  ::)

Here, it's been  :sunny: all day .

4 seasons in one day.  :)

Further north it was just bitterly cold. No snow, no rain, just brrrrrrr.
