Lots of flooding up here. Local river rising at rate of 6" per hour. We're high enough up fortunately.

Flood warnings in lower part of our area. Advising folk to evacuate this evening.

Now it's snowing. Oh it just gets better & better. 3 care homes evacuated. Electric being switched off soon. Been in touch with someone who's affected. They are being evacuated too. I was going to offer a bed for the night, but she hasn't got back to me. They are heading for local school. Never ever seen it this bad here.

quite nice here. 9c in the garden and weak sunshine but dry and still.  Just opened the summerhouse to let some air in and all the bedroom windows are wide open.  the air today is just gorgeous after an early ground frost.
