Apparently more snow is on it's way  :-\ ……… certainly it's blowing a hooley out there and the rain is icy  >:(

It blew so hard a few moments ago that the lounge wooden door burst open  :o as all the windows round the house rattled.

So they say, for next weekend. Though we've been so lucky here. Hardly had any snow at all.

We haven't had any snow here in South Wales this winter.
However, we have had torrential rain today - all the lanes and even some of the main roads are flooded, and hubby has just come home soaked to the skin, having had to push his car out of a huge lake of water.

We had a super tide here yesterday - only happens every 18.5 years.

Hubby managed to get the car home - fingers crossed, it will start tomorrow.

Will he have a look-see or does it need to go to the Garage?

He's quite handy, so will have a look himself first. We're lucky - we have a good family garage just round the corner who will come and look if he has any trouble.

It has been hailing (sp?) and pouring down overnight and this morning - really awful weather.
Poor chickens look like drowned rats - they practically fall into the house every time I open the front door, because they're huddled together on the front door step!

Hail is OK! where you live  ;)
POURED last evening.  Now the sky is blue.  Air is cold.  Birds busy …..

How many chickens? if ours were in the garden they would run for shelter back into their run!

5 chickens  :)
They hate this weather, poor girls - no escape from the cold and wind, even under the coop.
Cats are all indoors, dogs too.

Bright start today and warmer but still a wind.
More rain forecast for this afternoon.
Husband out in the woods volunteering for our local 'Wildlife Trust'.  Not sure what he is doing (digging ditches or cutting back trees).  Will be very sticky underfoot with all the rain we had at the weekend.
More washing!!!!

Neither seems 'safe' Rosebud! with all that mud!
We had 3 chickens each time, I made sure that they had enough space under the shed where they slept to get out of the weather, it was wired over and under the ground to stop rats/foxes/badgers digging them out.  It was funny when they saw snow for the first time …….

Right - CHORES!

Our hen house is on stilts, so there's a dry area for them to shelter...but the wind is swirling today, so no escape. They could go into the carport if they were bright enough, and we have plenty of hedges - but everywhere seems to be getting the weather today...except the porch.
