Very windy  and raining.
At the moment it's mild but the wind makes it feel colder than it is.

gusts of wind nearly knocked me off my bike. Dreary, drizzly, warm day. Much prefer colder and blue sky.

Still raining and colder - 5° when we got back this afternoon.
And it's STILL windy - gets quite wearing wondering what's going to fall off the house.

Today was sunny, coolish and blustery and I couldn't let the day pass without celebrating the winter solstice, the start of winter and the sign that days once more become longer! Fills me full of optimism  :)

As befitting this ancient winter festival, I cut more greenery and brought holly and ivy into the house - as the ancient peoples of this country who celebrated Yule would have done!
