Dry and warm here. Sunshine all day. Bit of rain tomorrow but dry over the weekend and most of next week.
Good job it's a dry weekend. Try burning a long ship in the rain  ;D. It's our Viking Festival this incoming week. Our town is over run with Vikings who live in a village on the sea front for a week  ::)

I love these calm early Autumn days and the mellow light, also the bliss of cool nights.

Harvest Festival, then Halloween, then Bonfire night.  Well that's what I remember when I went back to school when I was kid.

Perfect :)

Glad you stopped that sentence at Bonfire night SL  ;D.. No mention of the C word.

Warm here but grey skies.

I did  definitely stop at Bonfire Night HB  ;D

I sat outside this afternoon and the sun was hot, but so quiet, it felt mellow and fruitful  :)

I can feel mellow and fruitful on occasions.....usually when I have a glass of wine in my hand.
 :drunk:

I do know what you mean though. It's a lovely time of year.

Yesterday was overcast but not cold.

This morning the sun is shining over Loch Lomond, birds are singing, water is still - all's right with my World  ;)

It's still summer until September 21st (approx!) - the date of the autumn equinox  :)

I'm disappointed with this so called high pressure sunny spell we are suposed to be having. We had some sunshine on Sunday but since then has been cloudy - thick veil of cloud here for most of the day - I think it's rolled in from the sea (S coast about 8 miles away)  :(. It;s clear now but I was hoping for some lovely hot summer sunshine!  Maybe tomorrow :)
