It's just started raining here. I am wondering what it'll be like later - I have a gig I really don't want to miss but I don't want to get blown away before I get there!!

Dark clouds looming, but not cold enough for the snow they've forecast.

Since about 3pm it's alternated between torrential rain  sleet and very heavy snow. Nothing is lying on the roads but the grass is covered. Flooding all over the place. Both kids were headed home. It took my son 2 1/2 hours to travel 40 miles and daughter was very shaky when she came in because of the road conditions. She said she was on the hard shoulder of the motorway three times trying to let police and ambulance through.

All in safe and sound. The sleet is battering off the windows and the lights keep flickering.

Oh heck, never thought of that. Better get them out and I think I might fill a flask.

Every time they go off for more than a second or two our flamin alarm goes off.

Daughter just headed out to boyfriends.....must be love cause you would not get me out in that  ;D

Windy and sunny here today. Last night was very bad and we've lost some fence panels. Loads of trees down locally too but at least we still have power - fingers crossed.

We needed the torches for a short while last evening, stepped into my bath, opened the page of new magazine: flicker and out  >:( but not for long ……… very windy over-night, surprised to see garden chairs still where I had stood them  :o but there are trees down locally.  Wind only now dying down  :-\
