We were expecting an awful (wet & windy) weekend but it's OK. Walked the dog without wearing my coat today and the sun has been shining all morning. Now clouded over but not bad at all.

Wild wet and windy. Wakened up about 3am with the rain battering off the bedroom window. Some branches down and few ferries running. Tussled with the car on my way down to mum's as I have to go along an exposed coast road.
Worse to come I think.

Getting cooler in the desert now. Huge billowing clouds this time of year. Temps still high in daytime but lovely cooler nights.

Heating has been on since 10.30 a.m. Yesterday's washing is blowingon the line. In the drizzle ......... worse to come, thank goodness I'm not in the Great North Run

Have to say it's not been as bad as expected here. They reported in local paper that temperature would be like 4 Â° with wind chill. It's been warmer than that. Think it's to get more stormy here this time tomorrow.
