There is a little breeze here which is nice. Sitting in the shade is more comfortable today.

no sun so far

grey clouds and 22, had a good nights sleep last nigh though the wind got up and it was lovely blowing through the house, hope its not the end of summer, rain forecast for next week still high temperatures though, warm and wet

Silverlady, washed hair last night and put it in a pony and went to bed with it wet , nice feeling of freedom telling myself, i wont bother drying or doing anything with it, let it be

We've cooled down quite a bit, due to haar rolling in again. Now 14 degrees out there.Unfortunately bedroom still 23 degrees.

I am melting, slowly but surely I am going to end up as a puddle and some sandals.

Had enough now, and I know that this will come back and bite me, but can it please get a little cooler. I am fed up being stuck in and around the house. Hubby can't really do much because of his diabetes so the house is it.

It's been much fresher here today - temperature down to around 25 which is much more bearable. I've just got back from a quick trip to the coast which was wonderful but very busy. Had a great paddle and an icecream. I envy those of you who live near a decent beach - it was about 75 miles each way but worth it. We do have nearer beaches but not so nice. I still miss my East Anglian coast.

It's a 3 hour journey to reach a beach from here <sigh> - otherwise we would whizz down a lot more. We miss the coast

Going to make you jealous CLKD.

The beach is three minutes from me.

On a fresh morning I can smell the sea. From our last house I could hear the waves on the beach.

I could not live anywhere else.

I thought you were only around 80 miles from the coast CLKD? Do you drive very slowly?

Well when son and daughter move out I will have two.

Until then there is room in the garden for a tent.

Seems so weird to be posting about hot weather in Scotland these days - makes me realise how many bad summers we've had over recent years. My skin was nipping with the heat yesterday, couldn't sit in it for long. We are about 45 mins from a half decent beach and took the dog last weekend, was lovely. Using a fan in the house and the air con in the car is wonderful. Having to wash our pillowcases every other day!
