It's caused great amusement up here that they have started to name our windy weather.
We are so used to it we call it blustery 

I used to run a catering operation in a golf club ER and that's when I was first asked for chips and cheese from some of the younger golfers.
The older ones wanted square sausage.....no more appealing I have to say

Actually, just made some Horlicks ladies, am I desperate to get to sleep tonight? Sparkle I've got floaty nuts on the top! I'll let you know how I get on. we could have the Delia affect on their sales!

Sparkle you have never lived until you have tried the old deep fried Mars Bar in crispy fishy tasting batter. 


They even deep fry pizzas up here if your really lucky

Oh dear, and there goes the Horlicks  That food is just wrong!

I was even offered slices of boiled eggs on the pizza before they fried it....mind you that was years ago and I declined it then

It is the stuff of nightmares though.

And seriously fish and chip shops fry pizzas up here.....ooo yummy.....all that oil 

In fairness though we do have some really great food in Scotland now.....far more than in the past.

And I've never eaten a deep fried pizza in my life or a deep fried Mars bar either, although hubby did once have a Mars Bar with custard and said it was lovely.

How on earth did we get here by the way....

They'll deep fry anything up here. Mars bars, cream eggs, you name it. Another is chips, cheese & gravy, sorry if any of you are feeling

When DIL told me about the chips, cheese & gravy I had to ask if there was something she was needing to tell us.

You could always move to Scotland. Colder climate & wonderful haute cuisine. What more could you ask for?

Too hot to sleep. I've got the fan on trying to cool it down a bit before I go in there.
Our dog is in her bed with all 4 legs up in the air.

Hope you all survived the heat - still cloudy and raining a bit here. Sick of not seeing the sun!

BTW, pizza suppers are lovely, I didn't realise that was a Scottish thing. Never had chips and cheese but I think I'd probably like it too to be honest.

I'll never know about any of these delicacies, not being to eat any form of dairy. Chips are my limit.

Woke up to damp weather,
