When does it get dark with you Elizabethrose.
Last night for us it was about 11:20 and then light again just after 4am.
We do get much shorter winter days though.
We had a great thunder storm earlier so the air is quite fresh now,

It seems to be light well before 4 though don't think sunrise is until about 4.30. Sunset about 9.30 last night but still light till about 10.30, but this was last night and differs when there is rain. You seem to have a later sunset Mrs B.
Hubby dislikes the darkness of winter and wet dull weather but I really love it. How weird that we're all so different. I guess for me, when I wake and see the dazzling blue sky I know that I've got to find a way to stay out of the sun or slap factor 60 everywhere. I also find heat desperately oppressive, suffocating. It feels as if my blood pressure is going through the roof, it's a physical thing rather than mental. Red hair, skin like a jellyfish, suppose it's no surprise really!
