I don't mean a chair stair lift but 1 that lifts a person/chair from ground floor to bedroom.  Has any1 invested?  One company suggests that there is no structural work necessary  :-\ but I would consider cutting a hole in a ceiling to access another floor to be 'structural'.

I’m wary whenever a company says “no structural work needed.” That line usually means “we didn’t look properly.”
When my sister and I checked options for a similar lift for our mum, Halton Stairlifts were the only ones who actually talked about joists and supports instead of glossing over it.

They didn’t push us into a decision but they did explain what would need doing depending on where the lift sits. That helped us avoid guessing.

That's an expression I often wonder about: similar to those adverts that offer 'same day tooth implants'  >:(.

Did U go for a lift?  I look at our property and wonder where a lift could be fitted.   :D
