Yep.  Not bored, but mind wandering ......... I was reading the Sunday Telegraph and an article caught my eye about a guy who after 6 years gave up his FaceBook account completely.  Now has a sense of freedom ...... doesn't have to conform to what others think he should be doing, those 'friends' from his past - well they were friends then but didn't keep in touch  ::) ........

However: I drop by here several times a day  ;) <wave>

OK maybe today's sunshine has gone to my head as well as my left shoulder. Still don't quite understand why you bumped so many topics, sorry.

Nope me neither.  ::)

Have to say the wanderings and thoughts you have baffle me sometimes. You need to give us more hints and tips about where you are headed so we can keep up.  ::)

I love the internet full stop, I would be lost without it and its legal and doesn't make me fat ;D

Its a way of life for almost everyone now and I thank the guy who first invented it, think it was for the FBI originally.

I love it too. I think people who don't use it are missing out on so much.

It can be very handy, but I think I associate it with "work" too much and sometimes forget that sitting around giggling about funny names for cats isn't any less of a time waster if you do it online instead of at the water cooler.

Not that there's anything wrong with hanging out with friends. Humans are social creatures and the internet has definitely "levelled the playing field" for us bookish types who find it easier to communicate in print than by speaking and it's a godsend for those of us who are not conventionally attractive or otherwise are not the stereotypes that IRL people tend to slap on us before dismissing us and tuning us out.

Nobody would ever ask a fifty year old menopausal woman with visibly missing teeth for technical advice, but they sure do flock to "butterflyzRfree123*" because "he" knows and loves GNU/Linux and they don't need to know that "he" is me. :D :D :D

I rarely think about it whilst away from home - we take the laptop but I prefer to watch the scenery  ;)
