I've just put the heating now - before oh comes home, he always complains its too warm, course  what he really means is  "don't have it on too long - remember the gas bill"  ::)

Does he make his point by putting on shorts and a T shirt?

Mine says the same but he's from Scotland. I think that gives him an unfair advantage to me as I'm from the south  :na:

Just heard on local radio, snow next month and then a hard winter Dec to Feb. :'( :'( :'(

I need to get horse rugs bought and fix roof on shed in case they need to come in if it gets really wet.
I don't know if I can cope with another lot of snow. Over 4ft 2years ago. Should have seen me trying to push wheelbarrow through it ;D ;D ;D

TBH it may well only be on the hills/mountains which is not really that unusual in October.  I remember one year there was a snowfall on top of Ben Nevis at the end of August.  That was only 2 weeks after we had visited the Inverness area and the temps had been really high.

We had snow here in Shropshire  a couple of years ago. It was half-term week at the end of October.

Just finished, found clothes I had forgotten about.

Had a good clear out and there is a big pink sack full of clothes to go out for recycle.

I bet the weather is fine now and we have a warm spell instead of the warning of snow soon.

I will blame the DM  of cause ;D

I would like to live in a big house with plenty of storage :)

;D Litleminnie, there was two more big bin bags full of clothes in the loft beside the big suitcase.

I have just had to hold the ladder while OH puts two bags of summer stuff up there with the suit case.

Am sneezing my head off now ::)

Was so chilly here at lunchtime that I gave in and put the heating on - we've been managing just with the log-burner during the evening up till now. Then the sun came out and the wind dropped and at 5 p.m. it was so nice that I went out and mowed the lawn!  :o  8)
