Burning out.
« on: November 27, 2024, 03:37:03 PM »

Is this just normal at 46/perimenopausal or are these symptoms something else? Headaches, dizziness, exhaustion, brain fog, weight loss, diarrhoea, chest pain, anxiety, rapid mood swings, itchy skin and feeling of being completely done. After 10 months of HRT I really hoped things would be a lot better. I had a meltdown at work earlier and I'm just feeling like  something is amiss physically and mentally. Any ideas very much appreciated  :'(

Have you had your iron levels tested? Fatigue, headaches, dizziness and brain fog can all be caused by low iron levels. I'm 47 and suffer most of the same symptoms as you - except the weight loss....I just seem to be piling on the pounds  :'(

I would suggest blood tests to check vitamin levels etc. This time of year vit d can be really low in a lot of people and the symptoms can be awful.

Thanks so much ladies for the suggestion of a blood test. I haven't had one since March 2022 - way before all these symptoms started. Pretty sure my HRT definitely needs tweaking too so I'm going to sort an appointment with my GP tomorrow & hopefully get in before the end of the year! Thanks again x
