Thank you both for your replies.

I haven't had my smear test results back yet.

Thing is, I don't think the bleeding is coming from the cervix, there is too much of it, and I keep getting cramping, and sharp pains left and right (hoping that cos it's both sides be really unlucky to have oc on both sides at exactly the same s time).

Honestly, ha is the pits.

Thank you again

HA can set the brain whirling!!!  It's about 2-3 week wait for scan results to come back.

Pain is mostly on the left. Cramping mostly when I lie down.

I tried to do a Bupa GP phone appointment. But I live in the country , and the signal kept cutting out.

I wish I could stop spiralling  :'(

Could it be a cervical polyp? I’ve had a few and they always bleed quite a bit. Just a thought.

Oh, I hope it's that then. Does that give you one sided pain in the pelvic region.

I'm sorry to hear you've had you've had problems too., hope you are feeling better.

I've managed to bring my GP appointment forward to this afternoon, so that's something

So sorry you’re going through a tough time, but l’’m just wondering if the pain you’re experiencing is caused by anxiety. Our minds work overtime when we’re worried about our health as we concentrate on the area of concern. I do anyway. In my case, any ache or pain will miraculously disappear when l’m told there’s nothing to worry about.

Hope all is ok, let us know.

Hi Marge

It's very kind of you to post again.

I went to the doctor's on Tuesday, and she has referred me on the two week pathway, so will be getting a us and potentially a hysteroscopy.

Funny you should say about the pain, it has indeed subsided. I thought the bleeding was stopping too. Dr noted "told blood" and yesterday hardly anything, but then in the shower this morning I passed a clot ( sorry for tmi) and it's back to bright red again.

My meno Dr also rang me ( I had emailed her), and was very reassuring. She asked me if they had changed my utrogestan to a generic brand, and they have! She said that anecdotally it was not as effective. So perhaps that could be a factor?

Thank you again

Oh yes, and she also reminded me that my last private scan was in April, so not really that long ago. Not sure how long it would take for something nasty to show these symptoms

Hi

Sorry for delay in replying, work has been manic. Which is good and bad. Bad because I'm working 50 hour week, but good that it's a distraction.

The sharp left sided pain has gone, bit  I am getting low pelvic pain . which comes and goes. The bleeding seems intermittent too. Just as it seems to be stopping, I get another show of bright red blood  :'(. Yesterday evening there was both brown blood and bright red blood at the same time.

Penguin, that interesting, and reassuring that it could be the change in progesterone brand. Do you happen to know how long your friend had the bleeding for?

It occured to me as well that I have recently been changed from. vagifem to intrarosa, and could that also have an effect?

Anyway, I have my US appointment for 03 December, which seems like an age away, but I will just have to wait now, nothing much else I can do.

Thank you all, it makes me feel better to know I can talk on here. Only my partner knows, and so it really makes a difference.
