Hi
This is my first time on menopause matters.
Am really hoping someone can help.
I have been using hrt for 7 years.
Had ovaries removed in early 2014.
Currently using estradot 50 patch and utrogestan.
My surgical procedure felt like being castrated and interest in sex had been switched off.
Also focus and general energy have been noticeable.
After thinking about it for a while I had a consultation with a Gp at Louise Newson clinic.
I started on testogel just over 5 weeks ago a small sachet to last 8 days.
My energy levels , concentration and joy of life have massively improved.
I work for the nhs in the community 2 days a week and look after my grandsons 2 other days.
I just feel like I did as a younger mum and sex drive is also back
All win win so far!!
However over the last week I have developed a strange bitter taste in my mouth and a feeling of indigestion.
All food tastes odd.
I can only think it is the testogel as nothing else is different.
I have no weight loss , constipation or nausea.
Am a fit healthy 62 year old who walks and exercises.
Now worried I will have to stop the testogel.
My review and blood test is in mid October.
Has this happened to anyone else using testosterone should I use less testogel ,
Be so grateful for advice and help with this.
Thanks in advance.
