Why are my symptoms returning?
« on: May 16, 2024, 01:07:04 PM »

Hi all,

I hope some of you can shed some light on this please.

I've been very settled on my current HRT for around 6 months: Evorel 100 patches twice a week, Vagifem pessaries twice a week, 1 Utrogestan pill daily and Noriday contraception.  I also supplement with Sea Buckthorn capsules (for dry eyes) and magnesium tablets (for jangling feet) daily. Everything was ok until 3 weeks ago.

Ironically 4 weeks ago I had a menopause specialist appointment and she was delighted I could report everything was ticketyboo. 6 months prior I was a teary mess, emotional, horrible night symptoms of hip/scalp tingles, jangling burning feet.  My dose was adjusted and everything seemed fine - until just after that follow-up appointment when I started getting a return of symptoms... tingling/****les/gooseflesh down my left hip and thigh (randomly both day and night) and night time burning feet and bladder discomfort.  I have no idea why.  The only thing that's changed in the past few weeks is that I finished an old bottle of H&B magnesium and have started a different make. I can't remember which I bought from H&B but the current bottle is Magnesium 4-in-1 Glycinate, Citrate, Taurate and Malate.

Has anyone experienced a return of symptoms after things have been settled for 6 months?  And could the different type of magnesium cause this?  Even the bladder discomfort (I bought the Mg for the feet jangles).

I'd be very grateful if anyone has any ideas please.

Thanks,

Lou
