You will only be asked to remove your top layers. I just wear jumper and jeans.

I go in what I put on in the morning, with a jumper that is easy to remove.  Usually asked to undress from the waist upwards and a gown is provided.  Let us know how you get on!

Thanks Ladies x

I have never been given a gown - I think the last time I was told to remove my bra and I think I was able to wear my t-shirt or maybe that was just until I went in to the room (I can't really remember) - so I think I will wear a loose fitting t-shirt just in case I am able to wear it again ...

I always did think that they were such a waste for such a quick procedure. All the laundering expense for a start!  I've just had the all clear from mine but since my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer only three months after a clear mammogram I'm always a bit cautious.

Was your friend's disease found on mammogram?  My lump never showed on film.  How is your friend coping with treatment etc.?

So sorry about your friend x

I always wear a cardigan to a mammogram and after removing my clothes put the cardigan back on, its so convenient and its not always warm in these places too!

No it wasn't seen on mammogram and it was the second most common type which apparently isn't detected on mammogram. I can't remember which type now. It was caught really early due to her monthly self examinations. Sadly she has now passed away from secondary breast cancer.

I ended up just wearing jeans on bottom and a cardigan on top for easy and quick removal just before the screening x
