Yes, wise advice but hubby is 83 and happy where he is. We don't want the upheaval and stress of moving.

That makes things different.  Given your husbands age i hope that you have some help from outside resources or family so that you do have some time to yourself.

I've made note of the vitamins thanks. If I could just have more energy I could cope.

Have you spoken to your GP about your low mood and coping ?

Morning.  Does DH buy his head and probably doesn't feel in his 80s ;-).  Will he talk about how to manage in future?  I tried with mine yesterday and got 'stop worrying yet'.  But I want to future proof in case something bad happens suddenly, so have planted more shrubs, have moved a few that need support along the fence ........ it's the weeds in the patio and front gravel that take up our time, both get hot sunshine or heavy rain.

Yes hubby does say his brain tells him he is younger! But he is very unsteady and fallen 3 times so he must be careful.
Like yours, he doesn't talk of the future difficulties.  Is always worried about me and frustrated he can't do more
We have mostly shrubs, perennials and yep, those darn weeds!

[/quote]   yes, the doctor knows about it but does nothing.

No outside help, family too busy (understandably)with their own lives. My sister is very supportive but is poorly herself sadly, so can't help.

Would it be an idea now to let younger family (adult children) know how you are feeling before you get any lower.

Even if they have busy lives they may have ideas that you don't know of to be able to put something in place for you that will help.
It is hard to be proactive when you are feeling low.

The GP seems to have avoided any medication for now but has he /she mentioned it as an option at some stage ? A small dose of 'something' that  would lift you enough.

Hi, that's so kind of you to ask.
I'm not too bad thanks. Just back from a medical review for hubby and all going well so that pleased me.
While there I booked a call from my gp to see what he suggests now.  Hopefully he will advise me.

Have that list ready by the 'phone so that you don't forget anything!

Little steps.  It's Autumn, a time when humans should naturally slow down.

Thanks CLKD, yes a list is a good idea - especially with brain fog!
