Hiya,
When I had the mirena fitted last October it took me a couple of months to settle down. In fact I virtually had non stop light bleeds and spotting. I never had the gushing like you Booroo. I think the info is that it can even  take some months for some women for it to settle completely. Sorry that's probably not what you want to hear.
Glad the investigations were all clear.

Hope someone else may be able to add more.

That's ok.
I think patience is lacking in a lot of us because there are so many instabilities as we try to calm our symptoms. But it does take a while, for me at least, for any changes in my hrt regime to become settled in my body. Throw in the fluctuations we have with peri and it's a madhouse. Any new symptom or even a slight change definitely makes me a bit more anxious.
Good idea to do a gradual increase in the gel so you don't overload things.

I use a diary of my symptoms and moods, just so I can look back and realise I see a pattern, and sometimes dare I say it an improvement!

Take care

Bleeding isn't unexpected in the first 6-9 months so please don't worry about it. Do you have meno symptoms still? They say you should give it 3 months to get the full effects. Flushes usually go within a couple of months but my anxiety and insomnia took the full 3 months.

Hi Booroo,

I always found when I increased my oestrogen that I felt a bit jittery for a few days. It soon settled down for me. I also  used to increase a bit at a time, easier maybe with patches, as I could cut them to make a lighter dose then after a couple of weeks I went up to the required amount. Jitters did stop.

Yes was thinking that actually, why are we so impatient with it it’s a horrible place to be when nothing is right or wrong is it? Yes I’ve not upped it to full one yet, bit better today and less headaches so fingers crossed

That's good.you 're feeling brighter today. I always know the really rough days will get better, but when we are caught in the middle of the it can be really hard to see that. I think of myself as having irrational days where I can't see they will lift, and then having rational days where things seem clearer and I understand the pattern better. ( awful though it can be)

Take care

I swear I don't know how I would be if I didn't have the advice and support from all on this forum. It can be a believe time and even a well meant hug can
just be enough to know you aren t on your own. X

Have you felt worse since you increase or did you increase because you felt worse? Symptoms of too much oestrogen can be very similar to deficiency symptoms and include anxiety and feeling jittery. Also some people are very sensitive to change and find it better to increase by a small amount at a time. As you're still peri you may be having huge spikes and troughs in your own production too that can make hrt difficult to manage.
