Hi I've just joined but read your post a few days before when I was still lurking and wanted to offer you some reassurance.
I had a positive fit test last year, went to gp with lower left abdo pain and constipation and he didn't expect it to come back positive but it did. I was told my number and I extensively googled it and, despite it being low, was absolutely convinced, because I had symptoms (despite never seeing blood in my poo) that it was something sinister. Turns out it was polyps, one of which was bleeding slightly. Wasnt even on the same side as the pain so go figure. I was told by the surgeon before the colonoscopy that there (despite symptoms) was only a 1-2% chance of it being anything bad. My fit test result wasn't high, but the surgeon said that even if it had been, high tests are still more likely to be caused by an inflammatory bowel condition than anything sinister. I'm due another surveillance one this year and decided not to even get the fit results beforehand. Everything I'd thought beforehand turned out to be wrong! There are SO many other benign reasons for positive fit tests that the vast majority of people who get sent via 2WW for colonpscopy are likely to come back fine, yours included. Good luck and I hope you are enjoying your holiday xx
