Provera
« on: November 07, 2022, 10:19:15 AM »

Are there any ladies taking Provera with their estrogen and if so how are you getting on with it?
It’s been suggested from the meno clinic that I swap Utrogestan for Provera to help with endometriosis/peri symptoms. Having lots of ovary pain and bladder frequency/pressure throughout the month on my current regimen of estrogen 50mg patch and cyclical Utrogestan and that Provera may be a better option for me to suppress all ovulation.

Hi

After trying every option, Provera is the only progesterone I can tolerate. Utrogestan made me a suicidal wreck.
I take 5mg at night and have done for two years with no problems.

Do you take 5mg daily or cyclically?
I still have a period, albeit, a very light one. Or my other option is to go back on the low dose BC as it was the only thing that kept pain away. I’ll just have to put up with the background peri symptoms.

I take it daily. You shouldn’t have to put up with other symptoms. I’d speak to your doctor again xx
