A horses doodah can get dirty and encrusted,so it can be painful when they withdraw it up into the body,so a wash with warm water and Bobs your proverbial,when I worked as a groom on a stud farm,we always had to wash the stallions bits after he'd performed,to keep it clean,I was very popular when I was younger  anything else you need to know about a horses nether regions don't be afraid to ask
