Ive really enjoyed The Victorian House if Arts and Crafts, it's been in BBC 2 at 7 pm. I find arts and crafts designs beautiful so it's been perfect for my taste, the lady metalworker made a fabulous dish and clock, I wish I was as talented

Hi CLKD, sounds painful. I'm assuming when you've been soaking it you were hoping it would maybe draw it & your unable to retrieve it with tweezers or a needle? You could try a dressing with magnesium sulphate (can buy a wee pot from chemist) as a poltice to draw it. Otherwise given time it should come away just keep it clean.

Using magnesium sulphate by dribbling it into the nail hoping it will seep through to the embedded splinter.  Too far down to reach  ... no swelling, no redness, sore but no infection.

Pop into your local chemist & get them to have a look at it, see if they can help you with something.
