I've enjoyed all the remakes of the sitcoms I've seen so far (Porridge, Goodnight Sweetheart, Young Hyacinth, Are you Being Served).
I was apprehensive about then when I saw them advertised but I think they have been done very well indeed.

We have Till Death Us Do Part still to watch.

Joanna Lumley in her 'fake' fur coat  :-\ (why bother) in Japan - I must be getting soft 'cos when she went to visit the family that remained behind near the damaged Nuclear Plant following the tsumai ……….. they were caring for the pets/livestock that had been left behind  :'(  :'(

I watched it, thought it was great...Joanna looks amazing for her age ( yes she may have had a bit of help).  Japan is fascinating ,made me want to go.  One of best programmes I have seen for ages. :)

I'm sorry I know it's not a programme but is anybody going to see the new Bridget
Jones movie which is out next Thursday?
It looks so funny hoping to go and watch next weekend it just looks so hilarious and I do like Colin Firth as Darcy too.

I never 'got' into Bridget  ::) - it's had good reviews so far

Sadly Japan's history doesn't have a good reputation in this house-hold  :'(.  What wasn't explained is that it's a series of Islands a bit like Holland and Venice.

Last Night of the Proms later?!?

OH loved Japan when he was working there although it was a little regimented workwise.

Sorry that it hasn't got a good reputation in your household CLKD.

I agree CLKD. Can't bear the man.  But wanted to see Renee and thankfully she was on first
Never seen her interviewed before. Something very odd about her
What did you think Jan68?

Purplenanny looks like she has had plastic surgery done on her face but Renees denying it. I know what you mean something a bit odd there.

I haven't forgiven Helen Fielding for killing off Mark Darcy in the third book!

No, that was the third book but it didn't go down well because she killed Mark off so the new film is based on the Newspaper columns Fielding wrote instead.

What possessed her to kill Mark off? I haven't decided whether to watch the new film. I watched 'Edge of Reason' again on TV the other night. Renee looked terrible in that, had a really bloated face. Daniel Cleaver was very good in Edge of Reason, shame he's not in the new film.
