 :thankyou:

I find they all get 'samey' and boring eventually  ::).  I was into 'tipping point' for about 6 months …...

I appear to be obsessed with The White Queen ( only 3 yrs after release) - or should I say obsessed with the very attractive actor playing Richard. Mr ethyl is benefitting ;-)

Otherwise I am still watching The A word though I could happily murder the mum in it.  Sad that Granchester has finished as I was enjoying that.

I enjoy watching Charlie Luxton (?) on his travels around properties, last night he was at St Tropez, Nice, Monoco etc.; views were lovely, prices out of my range  ;D and I could see several changes I would make ………..  8).  How the other half live!

Dropped 'the A Word' after the 1st episode.

I've been watching Natural Born Winners on BBC2 - Well James Toseland (Superbike World Champion) certainly does it for me, talk about eye candy  :jiggy: :jiggy:

Yes I watched it. What a strong couple they were. I googled them afterwards. His girlfriend was a pastry chef who trained under Marco Pierre White and worked at some prestigious restaurants. Having read a few articles on her, she sounds like a workaholic. She has a lot of businesses. Alex was a stay at home Dad before he was taken ill and he said in one interview that him and his son were inseparable as his girlfriend used to be working a lot and away from home.

I had seen some articles on him before the programme and was confused as he had his right arm and hand but I assumed it was a prosthetic but after reading up on him, they did manage to save his right arm and hand but in 2014, after a night out in London he slept on it oddly and broke it in three places. They then discovered that there was still some Strep A in his bone so didn't want to risk it spreading into his torso so amputated it at his elbow. From reading up on him, there was quite a lot that happened that they didn't mention in the documentary but I believe he wanted it to be positive and he agreed to make it so his son can look back at it when he is older.

I thought he looked a lot younger after his illness than he did beforehand.

Very difficult.  He seems to think he's been given a 2nd chance at Life but that's a bit extreme!

Also, the sooner surgical intervention happens the more likely there will be enough skin to fold over to make a neat 'end'/stump, allowing good suture surface = good healing.

Watching le Tour now - lovely Yorkshire scenery from the helicopter.  Like being on holiday without needing to pack  ;D

Settled down at 10.30 to watch Tour de Yorkshire - NOWT  >:(.  Eventually it emerged that the plane that transmits the film which is sent to it by the motorcycles and helicopter had run out of power  :-X.  It was to have covered the 1st womens' full stage with big money at the end, bet the sponsors will be tamping as are many supporters across the World!

We are now waiting for the mid-part of the mens' 2nd day to be streamed live.   But it's unlikely!
