After watching Birdsong I'm now reading the book.
In fact I'm enjoying that more than the drama itself.

I've got Birdsong and Vicky Cristina Barcelona recorded so will report back once I've got round to watching them.
I saw Midnight in Paris many years ago - wouldn't imagine that Vicky Cristina Barcelona is anything like that.  :o  Is your DS trying to find out what will shock you, Mrs P?  ???  ;D

Isn't she just?  I was trying to work out where I'd seen her before and suddenly realised that she was the hilarious sex-mad hospital administrator in Green Wing. Amazing!

I remember Upstairs Downstairs. I'm looking forward to seeing the new one.

Not sure as I believe the author died fairly recently but I guess they could make up some stories for a future series?

Loved Call the Midwife, and Upstairs Downstairs tonight was absolutely brilliant. History is my favourite subject, and this was wonderfully acted, and historically accurate.

I'm watching Father of the Bride ... love this film  :)

I love it too. I always smile at the part where Father advises Annie to wear a coat because its cold -she refuses of course but as soon as the boyfriend says she should, she agrees straight away! SO true to life.

 ???  Matt who?

As for 'call the midwife' there were several books in the series plus one about how people rarely have a 'good death' ......... <turns round to look at the book shelf > : 'In the Midst of Life' ............ so plenty of scope!

Too much on this evening  ::)

I think Mrs P means Matt Evers on Dancing on Ice - suffered a nasty kick from his partner. (I didn't watch it but read it in the paper)
