Blood sugar issues
« on: June 21, 2022, 03:19:26 PM »

Hi

I seem to be getting quite a few sugar crashes now.  By that I mean I suddenly feel weak, shaky, hot etc.  I have to eat something PDQ, its really horrible.  I seem to remember getting them soom after I had my daughter, so its not a recent thing, but it does seem to point to hormones!  I am on HRT, so not sure if it is a side effect.  Does anyone else get this whilst on HRT please?

Thanks

D

I had them throughout my teen years as well as in peri-menopause . A sudden feeling of intense nausea, light headedness and the need for a loo!  I was advised to eat every 3 hours, 24/7.  I had a puppy at the time who soon realised that there were biscuits to be had in the early hours, after she had been for a pee  ;)

I try to keep to that regime now.  Eat B4 the body is hungry.  R U well hydrated?
