Poss peri menopause
« on: January 19, 2022, 09:43:09 AM »

Hi all new to this group, Dr recommended me to join as we think I'm starting peri menopause.  I have been struggling with my periods for a while very heavy and painful, but also hot flashes, anxiety and major mood swings.  I want advice for herbal treatment before go down the medical route!

Any help?

Thanks Laura

Morning.

:welcomemm: do you have specific reasons for avoiding HRT which is proven to help some peri-menopause symptoms?  There is an alternative room where members post their ideas and experiences, do have a lookC.

Browse round.  Make notes.  Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary is useful.  MayBe decide which symptom you would like to ease first.  My periods waxed and waned for several years before stopping = menopause proper.  However, symptoms may continue for a while after.

Heavy periods can be eased with medication from your GP.
