Prolapse help understanding results
« on: January 19, 2022, 09:26:45 AM »

Hi all, well I’ve not been on for ages as been a struggle last couple of years, ive a long history of gyno problems and the last few years going to the loo has become difficult (passing stools) so last year had endless tests done and not much help after, I also have been seeing a gyno separately due to a pain I get by my right ovary. (Been there for 12 plus years) in the past I have had a  laparoscopy and my veins clamped to see if it helped this pain which it didn’t, so my guessing is due to prolapse.

Anyway after all the tests ive had done I heard nothing for a couple of months but I was due to go and see the gynaecologist lady so just in case the problems crossed I asked for a letter to take to her and this is the only letter I have saying what is actually going on down there.

The gynaecologist lady I spoke to suggested a full hysterectomy but when they sorted out the prolapses it would be best to have it all done then, so I went back to the appointment about the prolapses and was told they couldn’t do anything. I just really need to know what the letter means, what is going on down there.
I also have a history of endometriosis which seems to be getting worse after speaking to my doctor last week she suggested I write to the specialist at the hospital explaining all this and I really do need help, to which I have received today a letter next month for a phone appointment.
I would just find it very grateful if I knew what is going on down there and should I be getting more help for this as it’s over taking my whole life, I can’t eat cause I end up in pain I can’t go to the loo unless I take ridiculous amounts of laxatives and it’s just all getting a bit too much.

Thank you xx

I don’t really want to post my letter so if you can help can you let me know and I’ll send it via PMs
Roughly this is what I make of it

Suggestive obstructive defaecation
A large anterior rectal approximately 6.8 cm in depth
With trace of barium trapping post evacuation
Recto rectal intussusception
Grate 11 cystole with incomplete voiding
Small enterocele
Abnormal descent of the pelvic floor approximately 6.4 cm on maximum strain!
