Evorel 100 + Utrogestan 200mg
« on: November 14, 2021, 07:54:49 PM »

Hello, it's good to read everyone's experiences. I am 51 and I have been on Evorel 50 & then changed to Evorel 75 + evorel 25. Symptoms like hot flushes & joint pain got better, but had quite bad PMS type bloating, irritability, anxiety etc, not sleeping and urinating very frequently. I've now been put on Evorel 100 with 21 days out of 28 on Utrogestan 200mg (I'm nearly 3 weeks into this) and testogel. From some of the forums and discussions on Lisa Snowdon's menopause Instagram, it seems an unusual dose to be on. I've had a big improvement on anxiety, but now I'm suddenly getting huge bloating, breasts swelling up and pain in my kidney area, and urinating a lot. Any thoughts?
Thank you :)

Not sure why you would go from 50 to 100? It's a big increase and probably too much. I would try 75 and only increase again if you need to. 200mg utrogeston should be taken for 12 days per cycle, never heard of anyone taking it for 3 weeks.

Thank you very much for your reply!
And I thought it seemed odd for the Utrogestan 😳 And the jump to evorel 100.

Hi Albie, I’m on 200mg Utrogeston as continuous daily dose following advice from a doctor in a private hormone clinic after a hormone screen (I went privately because I wanted to understand where my hormones were before changing my hrt and I couldn’t get tested in the nhs). It seemed like a lot to me too and I couldn’t find any other reference to using that much so I queried it and was reassured that my natural progesterone levels were on the floor so it was worth trying. It’s been 2 months now and no side effects and also some improvements in some of the many symptoms that have dogged me for 2 years so I will continue with it at least until my review in December. Also taking Eatradoil tablet 1mg/.5mg on alternating days…
