Shirley Williams, died aged 90 yesterday. Someone I greatly admired.  Her insight and common sense will be much missed.

Me too, Shadyglade. I had a long chat with my 15 year old DD last night about her. I was the same age as DD when politics became something of an interest to me, and my ears always ****ed up when Shirley Williams spoke.

I admired her too. A great shame that she has passed.

She should have done much bigger things but the left have a problem with putting women in charge...never a woman party leader, never a woman prime minister She was so bright and capable and articulate.
