2021 UK Census
« on: March 06, 2021, 09:55:10 AM »

Our paper work arrived this morning.  I can't remember the last time we filled one in, probably 10 years ago?

A lot has happened since  ::)

We are having words - he wants to fill it in today, the form states on Sunday or soon after.   >:(. I remember my Dad filling theirs in very carefully at the kitchen table.

Why early?  The idea is to find out how many people under 1 roof on 1 night every 10 years  :-\.  How many people will die if they fill it in early but not bother update the data?

There is a point to this Census but on-line gives more chance of irregular reporting.

It said to fill it in online and only ask for a paper copy if we preferred it. (but we didn’t).  It asked who would be sleeping under our roof on the 29th, but seeing as though nobody is allowed to stay it will just be us. 🙂

Unless you have to go to hospital  :-\

Any1 watch the various 'who do you think you R'-type programmes where the Census have been really helpful finding out who was under the roof on 1 night every 10 years?  DH is a bit sceptical  ;D

I did ours online last week. Easy to do I found. Better than the paper version.

If I get carted into hospital the last thing on my mind would be the census.  ;D

Exactly.  Which is why it should be filled out on the specific day.  'all on the same page' as it were.

I know that is what the Government tells us but I can't see the point .......... we've had R notification for 2 weeks  :-\ but it's supposed to be a record of 1 night every 10 years.

Done!   I also filled in the 'what did you think' section and put "There was no opportunity of experiences of menopause" ;-)

DH pointed out that there is nothing about sports and other activities to fill in  :-\
