I carved the roast chicken. Placed it on to the serving plate. Surrounded it with lovely golden roasted potatoes. And gave it to the dog.

Made a lovely cuppa, only trouble was I put a dog biscuit in my mug and topped it up with boiling water.  :o
Wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't done this before.

I give up.

  well the dog biscuit won't do any harm: at least it doesn't do a dog any harm ………….  :whist:

Who was the chicken and roasts really for?

So far today, so good ;-)

Dog biscuit in cup of tea...I laughed so much I nearly wet myself! Oops. Shouldn't say that, should i! I might jinx myself.
As for the roast chicken dinner...yes it was meant for my family. My 30 year old son rushed over  to me, yelling "muuum!" but it was too late. My dog is a golden labrador and we all know how greedy they are. Two gulps and it was half gone.
 We had pizza.
I love this thread! It's soooo good to be laughing, ladies, isn't it!

Yellow Lab. or Golden Retriever  :-\ - Labs are known as 'dust bins'  ;D

I nearly pulled the plug from the bath as I got out last night: DH usually has a soak after me  :-X.  Don't know what stopped me emptying the water, maybe that Woman!

My Goldie was the same....a dustbin, and not a fragrant one.

Her favourite place to sit was beside my daughter....usually when food was on the go. I had to watch the pair of them very carefully because it was a bite for my daughter and a bite for the dog....then a cheeky smile from them both.....they loved to share.
My Goldie thought my daughter was her pup. If I turned my back she would pick my daughter up by her clothes and carry her to her bed. It caused a lot of amusement, but being your typical Goldie she was so gentle.
Heck I loved that dog.

As for dog biscuit tea...no it doesn't taste that good despite being made with gravy bones  ;D

I love my dog, too, Honeybun but she's getting crafty in her old age (are we all??). As I have been unwell, my husband has been giving her morning snacks before he leaves for work, to save me getting up too early (yes he's wonderful). When I get up at 7, Holly brings her snack bowl to me and looks at me pleadingly, as if to say "where's my morning snack?". No use telling her she has already had it from Steve! Or do you think their memory is just going, like some of us? Maybe she truly has forgotten she has eaten? (Fat chance).

Nope - it's those dark soulful eyes  ;D ……… they learn to beg from the day their eyes open  ;).  It works too   ::)

I've had a relatively stupid-free day so far  :whist:

Yes, CLKD, I think you are right, it's those eyes!
:) I am so glad you had a  stupid free day today.  I did too but I have been in bed with a heavy cold and fever so couldn't get up to much.
It's Father's Day here this Sunday and my children and families are coming for a bbq lunch. How many stupid things can I do for that? I've even written out my potato salad recipe (which I should know off by heart) in case I forget a vital ingredient.
