Which Covid Tier??
« on: November 26, 2020, 11:17:51 AM »

https://www.gov.uk/find-coronavirus-local-restrictions

This tells you which tier you are in via postcode.  Doesn't appear to be working properly yet though.

You pre-emptied me  ;D and the website has crashed.

What I think is awful is that dry bars : not a phrase I had heard of until last night : have to remain closed.  One is allowed to open if one is serving food.  Surely all bars can have an appt. system, probably easier for those that don't serve food?  I often want to go out without the waft of food around  :-\

This is going to put a lot of bars out of business, totally un-necssarily in my view!

Now Matt is talking about 'saving the NHS' and how he understands how difficult it is in Tier 3.  How many Pubs, Clubs, Theatres has this man actually visited to listen to those who are likely to be losing their jobs  :'(

Don't all dash to the Isle of Wight for C.mas ;-)

Such a shame for hospitality,we go to the lovely country pubs for dinner when we're away in the RV and not once have I seen them flout any rules,yet go to Tesco and it's heaving with people,yet another ridiculous rule that makes no sense. I also love how those who sit in their ivory towers telling us how they understand how difficult it is, yeah.....RIGHT!!! Rant over  ::)

Not a lot makes sense to me  :-\.  I agree, in their Ivory Towers they have no idea: that's been obvious from how the Care Home sector has been infiltrated by C-19, even now!

I don't know which Tier we might be in.  It's apparently difficult to keep track in some areas so 1 could find oneself over the 'border' where 1 shouldn't be.

You can check which tier you're in by putting your postcode into the look-up box on the BBC website. Two for me. You can go into a different tier area but you must then abide by that tier's rules. Brain ache here  ;D

2-night we are in two.  Who knows where we'll be tomorrow  ::)

Anyone been watching Tom Kerridge filmed during the last 12 months?  Really good, hopefully there will be a follow up!

We're in tier 3. I'm actually glad we are. Before lockdown we were tier 1 right next door to tier 3 so of course they all came out to our pubs when their own were shut. Guess why our rates went up? At least they can't do that now.

We will be Tier 3 tomorrow.  Current rate 78 per 100,000 and falling.

How daft is that.  ::)

Our local has had to shut  :'( due to people outside our Tier ringing for tables/drinks etc..  So the impact of the tiering system ain't working for the service industries.  People simply transfer over the border  >:( and Boris has promised England that it will get harder: what ever that means?
