I've found that things have improved since it was made illegal. The undercover cars around here (M4/M3/M25) are very active. My only gripe with being in the inside lane is the ruts which cause tramlining when I'm driving my car.

Something that should be addressed during lockdown?

The roads in my area are dreadful.  Street Doctor no longer 'works' ......... patching doesn't last for long.  I'm surprised that a Solicitor hasn't taken on the local councils to bring up the point how many vehicles are damaged due to 3rd World road surfaces.  Dreadful for cyclists too!

Tn goodness someone has at last seen sense.   All work is going to be halted until more information is collected.   15 have already been killed and a Judge has said that the lack of a hard shoulder is implemented in at least 1 accident.  So who will stand Trial?

Yes but does that mean the 50mph signs will stay put? The M4 & 5 are ridiculous with their 50MPH signs,it adds such a long time on to your travel time, especially if like us,your on a 6 hour drive. Yet again, another waste of tax payers money on a STUPID idea, didn't EVERYONE say when they started these "smart" motorways what a terrible idea it was?
